The VCCS Learning Community
Our Mission Statement
The mission of Ventura County Christian School is to provide an educational experience for the whole family, from kindergarten through 12th grade. We make is our purpose to immerse our learning community in excellence, innovation and integrity from a Christian worldview. Our intention is to provide excellence in learning and in the Christian faith. We promote academics, athletics, the arts and Christian discipleship in elementary, middle and high school.
Academic Life
In our fifteenth year of service, one of our greatest attributes at VCCS remains our small class size, which lend to an intimate, creative and rich school-wide learning environment. Gifted teachers have time to focus on individual academic needs and also to mentor young hearts and minds from a Christian perspective.
Leadership and Faculty
Our administrator, Tanya Geue, is a professional educator from Azusa Pacific University who teaches at a Master's level credentialing program with an expertise in educational psychology and learning styles. She has brought this level of expertise to our teachers, resulting in innovative educators and enthusiastic students-building a strong foundation of learning at all levels.
Our faculty holds a passion and respect for knowledge and especially a commitment to Christian Education. As a teaching team, they hold baccalaureate, masters and doctoral degrees in their area of specialty.
Because of its small class sizes, caring Christian parents, and high involvement from the local churches, the campus atmosphere lends itself to learning and maturing, where students become confident and well prepared to face life's challenges as they grow.
